Well, hello there. I’m Isaura, but you can call me Jessie (we’re friends now). I’m a Dominican gal born in the Bronx raised in the 305, aka Miami. Desk jokey by day, part-time hustler and weekend warrior whenever time allows,
I’m a momma to three boys – yes, things are often super messy in my home. But I can’t possibly blame it all on my boys. I’m all over the place and so is my house and the projects. I’m married to the man who just so happens to be my biggest fan. He is also a guy won my heart through laughter. He makes me laugh out loud every single day. Oh, and I am also a loud laugher. And I also smile a lot.
I love to work home improvement projects. I’m happy to report that I’ve got quite a few DIY projects under my belt, but I wasn’t always handy. In fact, I didn’t even get my first set of power tools till around 2013. I’m always on the hunt for a project. Fortunate for me, our house has plenty of projects ready for the making.
From time to time I also take on projects in other people’s houses. I’m all about making spaces pretty together!! It brings me joy to bring joy to others.

Whenever I have free time, you’ll find me in the garage woodworking. Of all the ways to DIY, woodworking would have to be my favorite. I’m happiest when I’m sweating up a storm woodworking. My garage does not have A/C and it’s west facing so I get all that south Florida heat. If only woodworking were considered cardio??? #agirlcandream
